The Walking Dead

“And even though you were dead in your transgressions and in the uncircumcision of your flesh, he nevertheless made you alive with him, having forgiven all your transgressions.”
Colossians 2:13 NET

Before we were saved, we were the walking dead, some of us not even knowing that we were dead. But then, when we got saved, Jesus, through His death on the cross, made us alive. Why is it, then, that after we have been saved, we are still walking around like the walking dead? We say things like "whoa is me, things will never get better, guess I'll just sit in my chair and watch the rest of the world go by, no one loves me, wish I could be like those other people, wish I could do this and that." God  didn't send Jesus to die for us just so that we would sit around still looking like dead people. He sent Jesus to set us free from sin and to make us alive! A lot of people seem to have a lot of wish bone but they got no back bone. If you are one of those people, you need to stand up, make a choice and say "my life is going to get better starting now, I'm no longer going to sit around wishing for things, I'm going to start taking control of my life, the life Jesus died for, and start living the life He wants me to live!" We, as Christians, need to learn that we have a life worth living because God thinks we have a life worth living, so much that He sent Jesus to die for us!

Take Away: God thinks I have a life worth living, so I am going to start living my life, the life He wants me to live!
