Genesis 15:18-21
18 So the Lord made a covenant with Abram that day and said, “I have given this land to your descendants, all the way from the border of Egypt to the great Euphrates River—
19 the land now occupied by the Kenites, Kenizzites, Kadmonites,
20 Hittites, Perizzites, Rephaites,
21 Amorites, Canaanites, Girgashites, and Jebusites.”
Just as God gave the Israelites the land to possess, Jesus has given us everything we need to conquer all the "-ites" in our lives. The "-ites" in our lives are all the problems that face us, anger, pride, insecurity, low self-esteem, etc. We shouldn't be living our lives as victims. We SHOULD be living our lives as conquerors!

When an "ite" rises up in your life, you need to be looking to Jesus, not the "ite." As you look to Jesus, His perfection, His beautity, His glory and worship Him, He takes care of the "ite," not you! In fact the more you try to take care of the "ite" on your own, the worse it will get. Worship Him as you face the "ite", worship Him as it seems it is getting worse, worship Him and keep worshipping Him. This will put your focus on Jesus and not the "ite."
