Every one of us has some skill, talent, whatever you want to call it, we all have something that God will use if we let Him. The problem with a lot of us is that we don't think we have anything to offer that God can use. When we think of skills that God uses, most of us think of musicians, pastors, teachers, etc. While all of these are skills that God uses, these are but a small fraction of what God can use...and YOU have something He can use. Still not convinced? Look at Joyce Meyer, she has already said that she thought the same thing, and then God told her that she has a mouth...and now she speaks to an audience that is world wide. We all have something to offer, we just need to discover it. And once we discover it, we need to learn more about it. Notice that the scripture says "skilled" in his work. This means we learn all we can about it, we exercise our skill, we constantly use it over and over. As we practice and use our skill, we are making it stronger. You can't discover your skill and the next day say "God, I'm ready!" That is not how God works. First He will show you what it is, then He will give you opportunities to learn more about it and opportunities to practice it. The Apostle Paul went away for 3 years before he started his missionary trips. I can only think that he was learning more and more on how to reach the people.
Take Away: If you feel you don't have a skill, ask God to show you what it is. Then, and this goes for those who already discovered their skill, learn all that you can about it and practice it. EVERYONE has something to offer!
