So for me, it is a minor matter that I am judged by you or by any human court. In fact, I do not even judge myself. (1 Corinthians 4:3 NET)
Every one of us have done things in our past that we regret, and it is that regret that keeps us from receiving God's love and forgiveness. The Apostle Paul, who wrote two thirds of the New Testament, even he did horrible things in his past, but look at his words..."I do not even judge myself." Paul, who killed many Christians before having his encounter with Jesus, who probably could see the faces of each one he killed, had the opportunity to hold on to that regret, but he CHOSE not to judge himself any longer. Why? Because he knew he was forgiven and he knew he was loved by God. Each of those things we are holding on to are weighing us down, and on our own we can not let go. But with the help of Jesus, we can let go, that is our hope! With Jesus' help we can stop judging ourselves because He no longer judges us. Since we have accepted Jesus as our Saviour, He no longer judges us. If you are holding on to regret for things you did in the past, if you think that because of your past God could not love you or He could not forgive you, choose now to let go of the past. Ask Jesus to help you let go of your past and to receive His forgiveness.
